Rhinebarger Work Featured on August Journal Cover

September 13, 2020

Member Carolyn Rhinebarger’s painting “Tears of the Sun” was selected for the August issue of Genetics in Medicine, the official journal of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. The journal will use the image on the cover of their print publication, on their website and in electronic communications throughout the month of August. The monthly peer-reviewed medical publication is one of the subject-specific journals published by Nature, the leading international weekly journal of science first published in 1869.

The painting was completed in February of 2020. It is acrylic on 20” x 20” birch panel, mounted to cradled board. Produced through the application of multiple layers of paint, washes and glazes, it also has a texturized surface created by the use of molding paste. It is available for purchase on Carolyn’s website.
