Greenslade Garden Featured in February’s Chatham Magazine

February 11, 2021

For 20 years, Forrest Greenslade has created nature-inspired sculptures and sited them within the plant materials in their Fearrington Village garden. It is a focus of Forrest’s Chatham Studio Tour, along with The Organic Forrestry Studio, Painting Gallery and The Artist’s Garret AirBnB.  The Forrest Dweller Sculpture Garden has become a popular destination for residents of Fearrington and nearby communities. “We really enjoy seeing folks strolling through our garden and enjoying the sculptures nestled in the plants that we nurture.” The garden is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat, featuring a pollinator area. Forrest’s artistic influence extends into the adjacent Creekwood Trail. Several little concrete faces decorate trees along the path. People from all over the country staying in The Artist’s Garret, relax in the garden and enjoy the art.
