Painter Steevie Parks currently has ten brightly colored abstracts hanging in the COLOR Exhibition at Pittsboro’s Smelt Art Gallery through February 27. COLOR is a group exhibition show bringing vivid, colorful artists to a dark winter. In addition to Park’s abstracts, the show features work by Cheryl McCardle, fellow Guild member Alexander Percy, Eliza Wiora, and Sandra Lett.

Steevie will also have a solo show at theUnitarian Universalist Church of Chapel Hill (106 Purefoy Rd) from March 6 through April 24. The theme of the show is Virtues: Alive and In Color.
She is creating 20 large abstract representations of commonly agreed upon virtues for the exhibit.
