The Chatham County 4-H Leatherworks Club held its first meeting on January 11. A cooperative effort between Chatham County 4-H and the Chatham Artists Guild, the club will teach participating youth (ages 11-18) the basics of leatherwork and tooling. The club is led by Ric Harber of the Guild and Rob Burgmueller another Chatham leatherworker and 4-H volunteer leader.
The 9 youth at the inaugural meeting learned the basics of basketweave stamping. Currently 13 youth are enrolled in the club. Any Chatham County youth interested in participating should contact
