The NC Botanical Garden exhibit accepted three of Minnie Gallman’s bird photos. The photos of a cormorant and an eagle were captured at Jordan Lake. The bluebird was photographed at a feeder stocked with mealworms in her neighbor’s yard. Birds of North Carolina: A Community Photo Exhibit is beautifully arranged by season and runs through March 2nd. The NC Botanical Garden is open Tuesday – Sunday, 9 am – 5 pm.
Minnie’s work is also published in the Carolina Country Magazine. Gallman answered a call by the publishers for images of people and places which make our state the best place to call home for the January 2025 Issue. Minnie’s entry, 1898 Pea Island Life-Saving Station located on Oregon Inlet, was just one of a few selected from hundreds of entries. In it she captures a mesmerizing image of the milky way in North Carolina’s Outer Banks.
