We are excited to introduce you to our Class of 2026 and their CAG artist mentors in our juried Emerging Artists Program. This amazing group represents three different Chatham County high schools and includes young artists in grades 10 to 12, all of whom bring to the program a treasure trove of talent well as true diversity in culture and outlook.
From Jordan Matthews, we welcome Carolina Rice and her CAG Mentor, Cassie Ancona, and Charline Jiminez Rojo and her Mentor, Lynn Flyer. From Northwood High School, we have Maya Torres and her Mentor, Alina Cochran, Tumani Sissoko and his Mentor, Lee Kazanas, and Toby Garcia and her Mentor, Zoe Mitchum. And now for her third year in the program, Fabiola Vasquez from Chatham Early College and her Mentor, Eva Green.
The CAG’s Emerging Artists Program is designed to help participants learn the ropes of becoming a working artist and runs throughout the school year. It offers several hands-on workshops led by CAG member artists and culminates with displays at local gallery and artists market venues where the Emerging Artists (EAs) show and sell their work.
