I have always been drawn to the allure of strong color & the beauty that nature provides. My 1st medium was pastel painting. Which immediately provides intense color statements through one’s art. I enjoyed painting land and seascapes with pastels in New England and NC. When I was drawn to move onto considerately larger formats, oil painting was the medium I turned to.
Oil painting has been a most rewarding exploration in color and scale. Since Covid kept me local, I moved to my garden for my subjects. Which resulted in my work of bringing florals and fauna to larger scale on larger formats. I have found this to be a rewarding effort and am compelled to carrying on to even larger formats as I continue my exciting work.
In my home I want to be surrounded by contemporary expressions in color and scale. My hope and greatest satisfaction is my patrons do too.
