I am a metalsmith, a studio jewelry instructor & an artist.
I’ve assisted in making wedding bands from ancestral gold, helped in redesigning jewelry in the “Great Marriage Meltdown” where rings are turned into better memories, and turned old jewelry into contemporary pieces. I create Celtic Goddesses, in honor of my heritage, Shamanistic ritual jewelry, and interesting objects. Life is too short to do boring.
I teach basic jewelry making to advanced techniques.
I started the Orange County Open Studio Tour, Chapel Hill, NC, am the past president of the NC Society of Goldsmith, and founded Grass Roots Arts, a non-profit 501C3 for the promotion of artists in NC.
My folk art name is Chatham Granny, where I use non-precious metals and found objects to create whimsical fun objects.
