Please read the following Chatham Artists Guild Agreement and check the “Yes, I Agree” box below to indicate your acceptance.
If accepted as a member of the Chatham Artists Guild, I agree that I will:
- actively participate in Guild activities and committees, volunteering at least 24 hours annually to committee work
- make a meaningful contribution to the Guild Purpose and Mission
- attend Guild member meetings (2-4 meetings/year)
- serve, at some point, on the Guild Board for a 3-year rotation
- ensure the integrity and currency of my information and images on the website
- allow images to be used for Guild marketing and publicity purposes
IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS: I grant Chatham Artists Guild the right to use my name, likeness, artist statement/bio and submitted digital images of my artwork for the promotion of Chatham Artists Guild events and activities only. I acknowledge that I will not receive any compensation for the use of my images and hereby release the Chatham Artists Guild from any and all claims which arise out of or are in any way connected with such use. I understand artists retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Chatham Artists Guild will not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or make into a derivative work without the permission of the artist – copyright owner.
Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement
I have voluntarily elected to exhibit my artwork with the Chatham Artists Guild. I agree and understand that neither the Chatham Artists Guild nor its artistic venues, their partners, affiliates, officers, directors, employers, agents, successors and assigns provide any warranty against damage, theft, or other loss with respect to my artwork while it is on the premises of the venue. I will deliver my artwork to the Chatham Artists Guild on the premises of the venue and hereby agree to allow the Chatham Artists Guild to exhibit my artwork at its discretion and in the manner it deems appropriate. I, for myself, my heirs and assigns, understand and agree to release and indemnify and forever hold the Chatham Artists Guild and the venue, their respective partners, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, successors and assigns harmless from all claims, demands, liabilities, loss, expense (including reasonable attorney fees), judgments, and actions of any person resulting in any damage to, theft of, or other loss related to my artwork while it is exhibited at the venue and until such time as I retrieve it from the premises of the venue. I hereby agree to accept the terms and conditions of this contract. Neither the Chatham Artists Guild nor its exhibition venues provide any warranties, expressed or implied.
I have carefully read this agreement and release of liability and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract between myself, the Chatham Artists Guild and its selected venues and I sign it of my own free will. My application to participate in the Chatham Artists Guild includes acceptance of this agreement.
Gallery Sales and Donation Agreement
I agree to donate 30% of the proceeds from the sale of my artwork to Chatham Artists Guild sold during Chatham Artists Guild exhibit opportunities (not including artwork sold at my own studio during the Tour).
