I have been a studio potter for a half century, and still love working with clay. I make functional slab-built pottery with impressed pattern created with bisque-stamps that I carve. On some of my wares, I add functional mixed media components. I am participating in the 2020 studio tour, but in these strange times, it’s good to provide information in advance so that you can see my location and studio and to get a sense of what a physical visit will be like. My video will give you a tour of my studio. Masks will be required, and hand-sanitizer will be available for you to use before handling the wares. Please practice social distancing. In the videos, you will see my home, studio, kiln, and workshop. There’s also a slightly-fast-motion video showing how I construct one of my complex slab-built “oil-can” teapots.
I will have a large selection of pottery available including vases, teapots, cups, mugs, beer steins, pitchers, plates, bowls, baking dishes, covered salt pots, cruets, covered boxes, bottles, teapots, olive oil pots, flasks, and other items. Visit my website for more information and images, and please contact me if you have any questions.
