Beth Bale
I consider myself a watercolor naturalist. I am passionate about nature and environment, as well as painting these things in watercolor. The domestic animals on my farm, animals from the NC Zoo and many local landscapes find their way into my paintings on a regular basis and offer endless painting opportunities. I enjoy sharing my love of nature through art and hope others find inspiration in the works I create.
Painting in watercolor provides such amazing opportunities for growth as an artist and I am in love with the challenges this medium offers. The flow of fluid paint onto paper or aquaboard and the vibrant colors and mixes that result make painting one of the great joys of my life. While I studied art at Georgetown College, I am primarily self-taught as a watercolorist and continue to learn more every year as I challenge myself to take on new adventures in painting. It is my hope that others find as much joy in viewing my paintings as I do in creating them.
I am currently taking commissions. My price for a pet portrait is $300 for an unframed 11″ x 14″ on cold-pressed watercolor paper. I do not offer smaller commissioned sizes but I will paint larger if you wish. I am open to discussing other landscape or animal-related paintings you may want. Please contact me.
I teach beginner and intermediate watercolor painting classes, currently in Pittsboro, NC. Please contact me if you are interested.
