Chatham Artists Guild (CAG) has a longstanding history of presenting great quality, affordable art to art lovers across Chatham County and beyond. Our signature project, Chatham Studio Tour is the oldest open studio tour in the state. It began in 1992 as a project of the Chatham Arts Council. The highlight of the Chatham holiday shopping season, the tour attracts hundreds of art lovers who come to visit Guild artists’ studios, local shops, galleries, and restaurants.
The Chatham Artists Guild was officially founded in 2005. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit our mission is to: connect our community’s artists and arts patrons; provide educational and charitable activities and events to enrich and develop awareness and appreciation of the significance of the visual arts.
Run by the visual artist members entirely on a volunteer basis, CAG champions art in schools, art exhibits, artist workshops for business and inspiration, and new members mentorships helping to build and nurture a county-wide creative community. 100% of the support we receive goes to support our mission.
