The Chatham Artists Guild was initially founded in 1992 to open artists studios to the community. We have since expanded our role and become a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by the artist members entirely on a volunteer basis. 100% of the support we receive goes to our efforts to expand the presence of the arts in Chatham County through our annual Studio Tour, ongoing art exhibitions at The Plant’s Smelt Art Gallery and other gallery venues, and our educational outreach and mentoring programs. The Studio Tour, now in it’s 32nd year, is a highlight of the Chatham holiday shopping season, attracting hundreds of art lovers who come to visit Guild artists’ studios, local shops, galleries, and restaurants.
This work could not be done without the support of the Chatham County community. Sponsorships from local businesses, organizations, and individuals help us to operate our outreach programs, display the work of Chatham County artists, and organize and promote the Studio Tour.
Please join our efforts with an annual tax-deductible sponsorship so that, together, we can continue to bring visual artists and our community together!
We are excited to announce that people will now be able to easily recognize businesses that are active supporters of local art in Chatham County. We are in the process of mailing out the new 2023 window clings! These stickers will be sent annually to all our new and renewing sponsors. To all of our current sponsors, please display your window sticker to mark your business or organization as a proud supporter of local arts in Chatham County.
We are deeply grateful to our sponsors and encourage you to support the people, businesses, and organizations below.
