I draw inspiration from my deep love of animals and the natural world. My work is primarily representational with subtle abstract influences, reflecting both observation and imagination. Each composition begins as a loose sketch—an impression of an idea that evolves organically as I develop form, detail, and color.
Color is central to my process. I’m fascinated by how shifts in hue and tone can transform a painting’s energy and emotion, whether vibrant or softly muted. I rarely know exactly where a piece will lead until the first colors meet the canvas; from there, the palette and subject harmonize to shape the final spirit of the work. My hope is that each piece offers viewers a moment of connection, uplifting energy, and a touch of whimsy.
While acrylic painting is my primary medium, I am equally drawn to the expressive possibilities of printmaking—an art form I continue to explore and experiment with enthusiastically.
