Creating has always been an instinctive part of who I am—something I feel compelled to do. I draw much of my inspiration from my love of animals and the natural world, which make up much of my work. My work is primarily representational, reflecting both observation and imagination. Sometimes I’ll see an animal, a scene, or imagine something in my mind, and it simply clicks. I may not know exactly why, but I feel compelled to capture that feeling and make it my own.
My process often begins with a loose sketch—an initial impression that gradually develops through form, detail, and expression. Color is how I respond to the feeling of each composition. I let the colors evolve with the subject, often choosing them and wondering, “What if?” As the composition takes shape, color and subject work together to reveal the energy and spirit of the piece.
My hope is that each piece creates a moment of connection—something that brings positive energy, sparks the imagination, or simply makes someone smile.
Acrylic is my primary medium, while printmaking has become a second love that I continue to explore and experiment with.
