Randi Markowitz is a mixed-media artist whose vibrant, layered paintings explore transformation, possibility, and the beauty found beneath the surface. Working with acrylic paint, collage, paper, ink, stencils, and found elements, she builds her paintings through layers of color, texture, line, and imagery—often scraping away or covering portions of the surface to reveal what lies beneath.
Nature is a recurring source of inspiration, from flowers and trees to organic shapes, movement, and light. Her paintings also contain personal symbolism and hidden words or affirmations, creating quiet discoveries for viewers who take the time to look closely. Butterflies, circles, and other recurring forms speak to themes of change, growth, completion, and renewal.
With a background in graphic design, Randi brings a strong sense of composition, color, and visual balance to her work. Her goal is not simply to create something beautiful, but to create art that evokes emotion and brings a sense of joy, hope, and possibility into the spaces where it lives.
