The objective is to keep this calendar simple, including only the dates of CAG deadlines and the titles, times, dates and locations of CAG events and other events that include significant CAG involvement.
Thursday, May 1: Deadline to submit Studio Tour brochure information. Log into the website and click the button/bar on the “Your Account” page, or click the link under “Membership.”
Saturday, May 3, 1:00 to 3:30 PM: 79 Degrees West (a community co-working space) at 120 Mosaic Parkway in Chatham Park – Photographing 2D Artwork Workshop – Photographer and CAG member Timothy Dowdall will share his expertise taking photos of artwork with smartphones and digital cameras. We’ll step outside with Timothy to take photos in the shade, a method to capture images that is accessible to most artists. We will go back indoors for a demo of adjustments to the digital images using editing software. The Guild’s camera and lighting equipment will also be on hand. Timothy can also discuss scanning small and large work, editing software, and taking photos indoors with artificial lighting. For those that are interested, we can also share our experiences getting archival prints of artwork.
Sunday, May 18, 2:00 to 4:00: 79 Degrees West at 120 Mosaic Parkway in Chatham Park – CAG Spring All Members Meeting. The all-members meetings are a very important component of the Guild’s operation, and all members are expected to attend.
Saturday December 6 & 13, 10AM to 5PM, and Sunday December 7 & 14, Noon to 5PM – 33rd annual CAG Studio Tour.
