An artist is constantly observing, learning, and trying new things. We have things to say that words alone cannot express. While I am happy to engage the viewer’s intellect, I am trying to touch them on an emotional level. If the viewer misses my intended message but, finds their own story instead I consider it a success. Much of my work, especially my paintings, document my life, family and other people, places and events that have been important to me.
Making art is an essential part of my life and sharing that with others is my mission. I have taught children and adults how to express themselves in several different mediums. It is inspiring and gratifying to see my students grow with the experience of creation.
