Fascinated both by color and detail, I like to zoom in on the nature surrounding me, capturing it in watercolor. Starting with acrylics in the 70’s, I discovered the joy of watercolor in the 80’s and have stayed with them to this day.
Uninspired schooling and zero art training makes self-expression a struggle in many ways. I can neither articulate the inspirations I follow nor claim unique skill but the urge to paint the colors and life that I see has been with me as long as I can remember and has steadily become overpowering.
Named by my grandsons when they were preschoolers, “Frog pad” studio got its name through association with our neighborhood (Prince Creek), our Lily-pad covered koi pond and the Frog Prince of fairy tales.
