Come visit an artist enclave in Fearrington Village the first two weekends in December during the 32nd Annual Chatham Artist’s Guild Studio Tour. The tour opens on Saturday, December 7th at 10am. Grab a latte from the Belted Goat Restaurant and begin your tour!
Fearrington is a one-of-a-kind planned community with 2000 residents just 8 miles from Chapel Hill, NC which includes a village with shops, restaurants, and bookstore. Eleven artists will be showcasing their Fine Art and Fine Crafts in seven open studios owned by Fearrington residents during the Chatham Studio Tour. The Tour encompasses all of Chatham County and includes 54 artists and 39 Open Studios. It is a free event and open to the public. Go to our website for an interactive map and more details.
Jody Nash, Aline Kala, Lani Chaves, and Forrest Greenslade will display their paintings, jewelry and sculptures.
Jim Aiken, Minnie Gallman, Daphne Border will share paintings and photography.
Lee Kazanas, Vidabeth Bensen, Sally Pilcher, and Darcy Szeremi will have hand-built and thrown ceramics, screen prints, and jewelry.
What’s the BEST day to take the tour?
The studio tour has artists who are “one weekend only” and “both weekends.” One suggestion is to make sure any artist you “just must see” is open the weekend you go. Secondly, some think the best items are sold first day – “pick of the litter” so to speak. So that is another consideration. Otherwise there is not much else which differentiates the BEST day/weekend to go. Midday seems to see the most visitors.
Tour Hours:
Saturday, December 7th & 14th 10am – 5 pm
Sunday, December 8th & 15th Noon – 5pm
