I began thinking of myself as an artist when I was very young, although I had no notion that I would actually become a professional artist until much later. I have been fortunate to have traveled all over the globe, collecting artwork that spoke to me as I viewed and or touched it. I keep this in mind as I create works from the simplest bowl or mug to large platters and architectural pieces, it makes me happy to see others as excited to choose one of my pieces as I was to create it.
My studio is where I can allow my thoughts to wander and explore new ideas and question preconceived notions. My work is evolving into bringing a multilayered visual experience through real and implied textures giving each piece the sense that it is an artwork that must be appreciated with new understanding each time it is viewed and used.
