I have been a jeweler for 40+ years. This media called me when I was a teenager. Jewelry and metalwork is what I studied in college where we explored all sorts of techniques. I learned to refine and ‘fine tune’ my skills working at a custom jewelry store for 6 years. My work tends to be pictorial and whimsical which you really can tell from the photos. I draw each group of work and figure out how it will translate to metal. I usually make one of a kind pieces, big or small. I am a ‘fabricator’ working directly with sheet and wire. My primary techniques are piercing, chasing, forging, repousee, appliqué and forming. I add color with stones, pearls and resin.
