I have always loved glass and have been fascinated, especially, by blown glass. I don’t know when I learned that glass could be fused in a kiln. During the pandemic I decided to try it, starting small with a microwave kiln. It wasn’t long until I was bored and want to be able to expand my visions. Suddenly, there was a kiln in the corner of the living room. It became an obsession. I love the way glass looks when it has been stretched and molded, it is like it is flowing. I have two distinct influences. The first is Murano glass and its beautiful flows of transparent glass. The second is an abstract style coming from growing up in a Mid-Century home. My love for the artform has led me back to Pittsboro from South Carolina where there are so many wonderful artists and so many opportunities to show. While I am also musician, I now identify as an artist. It is all art afterall! I am so excited about this new phase of life.
I am happy to take commissions!
